Join us for a Sundance Award-winning documentary; Unrest. At 28, Jennifer Brea was working on her PhD at Harvard when a mysterious fever leaves her bedridden. Doctors told her it was all in her head. In an act of defiance, she turns the camera on herself. Often confined to her bed, she connects with others suffering similarly and documents their story. Jennifer has ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
Three members of the Gelpi Family also suffer from this disease. They will speak about their story immediately following the film. We are also honored to have Linda Tannenbaum, President of Open Medicine Foundation here to present. We hope to create awareness for this underdiagnosed, underfunded and debilitating disease.
