Mesa County Libraries' Comic Con is a celebration of comic books, comic art, pop culture, science fiction, fantasy, anime, manga, books, graphic novels, movies and more.
In 2016, over 3100 people attended Mesa County Libraries’ Comic Con with activities and entertainment for all ages. Due to the event's popularity, it will be hosted in the Two Rivers Convention Center this year. Highlights include fandom meetups, panel discussions, kids and teens activities, hands-on workshops, cosplay and a costume contest.
Ian Doescher, author of the brilliantly unique “William Shakespeare’s Star Wars” book series, will be a special guest at Mesa County Libraries Comic Con. Ian will be presenting "Star Wars Meets Shakespeare" at 1:30pm on the Main Stage and signing books afterward.
The event is open to everyone at no charge, and attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters! For complete information about Mesa County Libraries Comic Con, please visit mesacountylibraries.org/comiccon for the complete schedule of events throughout the day.
